Guys,

Looking for a run around for the misses and have been offered an Audi A4 1.8 SE, it has 91000 miles and full history, anyone got any feedback on these cars?

Cheers brickboy, its offered for £5900 on a 99(S) which I thought was OK, kind of considered them to be a little better than the mondeo specially at high miles....

hmmmmmmm .... in terms of longevity etc there's probably not much in it. My bro-in-law had a A4 1.8SE which was OK but after about 50K miles it was starting to show its age a bit, had a few rattles & bits of loose trim.

Sold my previous Audi at over 140,000 miles which was still on its original clutch and exhaust - not sure the Ford would do the same.

I got over £3000 for it - and it was over 10 years old at the time.

Well built, reliable, not too slow for an NA family car, handling is remote ... but unless it's a really keen price, a used Mondeo will do exactly the same job and carry more gear, as the A4 boot & backseat are on the small side.

edited to say that the Mondeo is much cheaper to buy and insure.
