Default Bye bye Holden

As a former Monoro VXR owner (HSV GTO), I find this a bit sad. Holden trying to keep the muscle car alive and best of all giving the UK a chance to buy them. But guess being chained to GM’s financial black hole meant they were going to cut Holden to save themselves....

First GM steal your chassis platform design to use in the Camero and Caprice...yes all those police cars use a Chassis designed in Oz...beggers belief that the mighty GM of the USA couldn’t come up with their own!

Then they shut your factories

Then they kill you off completely

Oh well...at least you didn’t end up being Chinese re-hashes like Rover/Roewe.

I’ll sign off and just say is thanks for putting a Corvette engine into stretched Opel Omega...it was a blast!

The guy on the tripper boat skipper ( a pom ) pointed over to where the last Holden was made on south bank of the Yarra as we made our way out Melboure for 2 hour cruise , its now the site of 10m dollar townhouses
Aussies mourn the loss of the real deal - not made in amerca

No more cars made in Aus
