Has anyone been to Modena, Italy - FERRARI
#1
Off on hols this weekend to Tuscany and keen to head up to Modena to see where those Prancing Horses are conceived. I know that EVO magazine did a feature on the new official shop opposite the factory last month but looking on the website it doesn't seem clear whether factory visits are possible, or indeed passenger rides on the test circuit (joking)!? Has anyone been to Modena and able to offer benefit of experience?
Cheers.

Went a few years ago.
The factory and test track are on the north west of the city IIRC.
If they are testing the F1 cars then you can just follow your ears.
I saw Schumi testing the Sauber (just about the time when they acquired Ferrari engines) and I also saw him hammering a yellow 355 F1 around with some passengers.
There is a bridge that allows quite a good view of the circuit but you want to go to the other end for the hairpin to get the closest view. I was only passing through and didn;t go to the shop etc.

been to tuscany/italy for the last three years, in first year drove down through france/switzerland - this is the way to do it
driving through the alps is unbelievable!!
stayed a night in modena , style of the old gents is fantastic, every octogenarian seemed to be dressed in armani and gucci and wearing dark shades!!
the ferrari museum is a must loads of road/racing cars and some of the main trophys only bought a keyring for the missus' chincqucento sporting though
didnt see much of the test track,it seemed to be surrounded by coniffers
the modena region is famous for the carbonara and lambrusco,so dont expect to get too p***ed
