I like these a lot. Seems to go around corners decently, and quite rapid in a straight line

I very nearly bought one of the last TT 3.2 (manual with magnetic ride)...sadly the small boot just was too much of a compromise. Nowt wrong with them as a car, and lots of mechanical goodies on them that can be directly bolted onto lesser Golfs (like the lower lowers arms with adjustable camber...certainly an improvement over the cast-iron fixed-camber arms fitted on the R32....which are identical to those fitted on a GTD )

Think the facelift TT has the FSI 3.2...which is a totally different block to the R32.

If its the FSi its a 10 degree VR6 as opposed to the 15degree VR6 found in the older TT and R32...as such it'll have a different timing chains. I know this as I've looked into doing a 3.6 engine swap from a Cayenne doner. Very little between the old and new engines is interchangeable....the 3.2 FSI is a downsized version of the 3.6FSi...whilst the R32 3.2 is more like an enlarged 2.8VR6 with a fancy cylinder head (lost me yet? )

And yep my has R32 had new chains too (on warranty - heard it rattling at low revs under load long before it gave any hint of any issues thanks to my freaky sensitive hearing; I hear N47s rattle long before they fail too ).

Edit: looks like I'm talking bollox....8J TT has the BUB engine code...same as mine.
