Tyre Dilemma help or guide me
Ok so cars only done 6k and i now have a 2nd puncture on the same tyre i had 1 previously..
Took it my mate who's MOT guy at KWIKfit said he repair it on the edge but after discussions decided to leave it as is and pump it up every 2 weeks.
But I'm now going to buy a new tyre. but i have a few questions
Current tyres are 235/35/19 dunlop Sprtmaxx been ok apart from the punctures and i love the rim protection they give, having diamond edged amg wheels i don't want to stuff them
The cost of a tyre fully fitted is 143 quid
Mich Pilot super sport is 177, but i don't think they have rim protection.
so are all tyres prone to punctures the same,
Do Michs have any benefit other than last 20% Longer..
Should i mix 1 Mich with 3 dunlop ?
Thanks

michelins are a harder compound by nature so last longer than most, but are very noisy imo (had michelin pilots)
personally its a bad idea running 2 different tyres on the same axle due to compounds, tread pattern, grip etc can be affected
the constant punctures imo aren't a problem with the dunlops, but maybe where you take the car!
