Right Girls it would be nice to see some of our neighbours up in Sunny Ecosse. I'm taking names for those who want to venture on track. This circuit is only 65 miles from Gretna, so closer to some of you than it is to a lot of us.
Ask those who have tried it its great fun and does not require uprated brakes etc. It's a sprint track so no time to fry those brakes. 90-100 odd secs on track per run and out on your own (timed to 1/100 th of a sec).
Mail me (see profile) or JohnS, or alternatively post here.
£20 (at current exchange rate ) for as many runs as we can squeeze in.

John,

I'll be coming up with Graham (moz.g), so put me down for a place please

We might travel up on the Saturday to avoid an early start on the Sunday ... any recommendations for a local hostelry ? If so, please mail me offline.

Cheers,

Stu.

Michelle,

the other dates we have for Kames are:

July 27th/28th - double header weekend, with overnight camping, BBQ and a massive party £20 per day for on track, nothing to come along and enjoy the atmosphere. Bring your own food and drink.

September 1st - all day session. £20 for as many laps as you can squeeze in

John

I may come up for a look on the 26th as my new brakes won't be fully bedded in. However, if I like what I see, I'll be up for a go on 1st September!

Hi Steve, the more the merrier. I'm sure your brakes will be more than fit for the job by next Sunday

(P.S. anyone found trying to smuggle illegal imigrants (Michelle) in to Scotland in their boot will be imediately deported)

No can do now Just realised I would be double booked if I came up as the Scoobynet karting is on the Sunday, so gonna have to leave it for some other time.

John: Is Kames up the A74 turn left?
What actually happens at a sprint. Standing starts? Corners? What?

Harvey, up the M74, off (left) at J12 along A70 to Muirkirk.

It's basically a small narrow circuit, one car on at a time, standing start, timed for 3 laps.

This link is out of date and the track has been modified to run in either direction now but you'll get the idea.
