Default looking for a good subaru diagnostic and repair centre

In the North West of England.

Fixed my intercooler pipes and still not well...

saw a small amount of black smoke on idle (running rich ??)

I'm going to have to call it a day as I don't know enough myself and I will just have to bite the bullet and give it to a tuning specialist to diagnose what is wrong with the car.

looking at ProSport in Stockport(not phoned yet), but any in Liverpool area(subaru specalist with 4 wheel rolling road) or not so far away as I would have to make my own way home if I have to leave the car with the mechanic ??

thanks

The car is running badly, power will cut and the car bunny hops and slows, only way to stop breaking down completely is to stamp on the gas and it picks up again..
unplugging the maf cures the problem (but also disables half of the car sensors and goes into limp reduced power mode), I have changed the maf 3 times now.

I discovered a split intercooler pipe and thought cool I found the problem, this did not repair the car.

cleaned my solinoid box several times , reset the ECU 3 times.

thinking can it be over fueling or missfireing and not using the fuel every cycle etc, could this be plugs/coil packs..... if so,... why does the car run ok if the MAF is unplugged...

I can not afford to second guess whats wrong and start swopping sensors as my wallet aint that deep...

I will have to bite the bullet and give a specialist ona rolling road with diagnostics my credit credit card and ask him to be "gentle with me"

any suggestions would be great.

prosport is best i think but there is a place in warrington called car planet that may be nearer, best look them up first and give them a ring (never been myself but know people that have and rate them highly)

dont think carplanet do any servicing work, I am sure there used to be a company called RC developments that went under that were based next door to them and the owner of car planet had a financial interest. May be wrong on that though.

I reckon your turbo has gone
