Oh dear Tony, I can tell your a newbie, as you've fallen for the biggest mistake in the SMACS DIARY BOOK:

mistake #1 Don't suggest anything that the SMACS should do, as you will end up organising it!

Nice one Tony, so where, when, how much, how long, weekend? weekday?

The ball is in your court mate

(we were going to do a evo/go-cart weekend, but if we go to nuremburg we'll need to save hard for that)

The small track at Warrington is very narrow and has only has one quick line round it. Overtaking is virtually impossible unless someone makes a mistake (or is helped to make a mistake ). You end up following the pole sitter round and even if he/she is slow it's hard to get past.

Not been on the larger track there but it is wider so there must be scope for different lines into corners. Oh and it goes up and over a huge bridge!

It's no fun if there's no overtaking (just like Formula 1!)

Went to Daytona to have a look when I was trying to get a corporate day booked for work. Well presented, but the price put everyone off. Not sure what the track is like to actually drive on though.

been on the big track in warrington and it is very long and its good the way it gos over the bridge but unless you make a mistake its the same story as most places, very hard to overtake. its a good set up there though and its very well run by the owners. im up for going anywhere though and if its going to be costly just give everyone enough notice to save for it!!!!

If you go there, you'll be going on your own. I am off to Nurburg with Andy as they have a nice toll road there.

Can we have a handicap system like the GG's???

I expect all the lightweights amongst us to have lead ballast on their karts so they don't get a performance advantage over us heavyweights!!!

Either that or I won't eat until the day of the event!

TeeHee. Only messing.

yes i think your right with this i also have the same problem as yourself with my car, every time i try to pass a mcdonalds it always veers off through the drive-through
i propose a skinny group and a cuddly group and the skinny ones should get a weight penalty whenever they race.
