Smacs - as busy as we are lets do some more runs out
Ok i missed the first two runs one of which was beyond my control and i know as it is we are extremley busy this year what with being the best club in the area and all.
The run over to the Foxglove last night was f****** excellent and for me defines what Smacs is about, dont get me wrong convoys and get togethers are great and i really look forward to the monthly meet but what really gets my juices flowing is sprited runs out - what a great sight, a group of modified Scoobs blasting over the tops with exhausts popping and banging away.
Great stuff - lets have more of it i say especially as the longer days are now paying us a visit.

Campy's cafe rocks, Or a run up the wrexham ruthin road to horse shoe pass and the cafe on the top.
A once a month Breakfast run would be great - i thought of that myself a blast out and then for some breakfast - just like me biking days

(Chris, only joking m8) (and some more )
I once did a trip up to newcastle a few months ago to see a mate, and took a wrong turning. I ended up on some fantastic country back roads which would have been perfect for my scoob. But at the time I wasn't in it . I'll have to get a map and see if I can find it again. It would make a cracking full day'er.
Well if anyone has any plans for any weekend runs, I'll be up for it
Carl, if you want any company on your saddleworth reccie give us a shout.

Go for it everyone, I can only organise so much, and the rest is up to you. Please don't feel that I've got some sort of sanction over you. If your off out for a drive, plan a simple route, give people advanced notice, then go ahead and do it. Simple
We used to do this all the time, and if you look back through scoobynet, you'll see loads of posts by me, dai and andy of intended runs out attended just by us.
I would give you some pre-requisits though:
1/ Don't ever post where you are going (unless there is no other option) Broke that myself on our last run
2/ Get your own radio
3/ Drive within yourself
4/ Have fun
Start posting up when YOU are usually out, and before long, we'll have mid-week, saturday and sunday runs that we can all dip into and enjoy.
Great routes take planning though, so start studying those maps, eh chief!

Was a great run out.
I'm up for runs out.
Saddleworth Moor was ok last night until I hit the low clouds right on the top. Then down to 20mph.

I have some std routes that we have used over the last few years. I can make these available to SMACS members if that would help.
Prefer to keep them off the internet however.
