Our Rallying Days Are Over..........
Yes, we managed to roll the new Saxo AGAIN!
We were at Ty Croes, Angelesey on sunday, only the 2nd time out in the new saxo after the yellow ones accident back in October 2005. Stage 3 saw us out of the rally when the back end flew out on the gravel, sending us into a spin, clipping a huge kerb and over we went about 4 times
I was trapped in the car for 1/2 an hour with suspected spinal injuries, the emergency crew were exeptional, as were the marshalls on the scene.
Ant was fine and got out, but I was put on a spinal board and flew off in the air ambulance for x-rays at Bangor hospital
All turned out ok in the end and I'm just a bit battered and bruised, although I did like the helicopter ride , pity I couldnt see out of the window though!
As for the car, its a in a worse state than any of us, needing a complete re-shell again. We have decided to cut our losses and nip it in the bud before someone isnt quite so lucky! Its a sad time for all of the ant jackson rally crew, as so much hard work & money had gone into the launch of the new car, but hey...you cant put a price on life.

Gutted for you both and the crew, but like you say "Life is worth more than a peice of metal".
Hope your bruises aren't to sore.

But it still doesnt make things better though does it?? spending around 20k on two cars, that saw in all, 5 rallies!
Ants going to strip it now and sell what he can to re-coup some cash back. He has plenty of Rally PS2 games to occupy his mind for now!!

bloody hell! very bad news jak, really sorry to hear about this Big consolation is that your both ok though, which is by far the most important thing.
As you say, there's more to life, and must have been hard to make such a life changing decision. Good luck with your new car hunt anyway, by not rallying, you can now spend a fortune on mods!
Chief, your weekend doesn't compare to jak getting an air ambulance ride but then leaving your wallet in the cab must have been a real kick in the teeth
Chin up you 2, and see you both next week at the Snake Pass Inn.
chris.

Yeah was really bad news that yesterday Jak, saw the roll and didnt look too pretty. Main thing is your both ok, cars can be fixed or replaced, people cant.
Make sure you both ake it easy over the next week or so and you will soon be fighting fit again.
How many cigs did you end up smoking in the end yesterday anyways? and im jealous you have been in a helicopter too, not fair
Jokes aside, good news your both still in one piece you had a lot of people worried.
Take it easy

Glad to hear your both okay, nevermind the car, I know you've spent loads of money on it but as my dad always says "A car can be replaced, You cant!"
