SMACS Stand/parking area at BTCC Oulton park 14th May
Does anybody from SMACs have the Know how, ability or desire to try and Organise a reserved club parking where all our Scoobs could be parked/displayed. The Cupra R Owners Club had one last year. It looked good having all the cars parked together.

As my boss always tells me when I ask such questions - well volunteered!
MY93WRX, great idea. Do you want to see what you can come up with? We are keen to spread the effort around.

Damn can't believe i fell for that, & yrs in the forces and i never fell for the well voulenteered routine, now i'm a civilian i get caught out by it
. I'm not a member of SMACS yet, not even met you guys/girls yet, although will be at the unicorn the 9th (first thurs of the month?) & i should meet supertouring at the track day next fri, So don't feel i'm placed to voulenteer. Having said that could make enquireies when i go down for the trackday. If i sort it can i get membership sooner than the rrequired attendance to 5 events, 3 maybe!!
great idea mate, and like super says, well volunteered
Looks like this is now the official smacs to btcc thread too now as well, so thanks for posting that up

You are taking over the northern section, because everything you post is rubbish

Maybe we should try to change our name to the driving club, not scooby club
Personally, I'm not bothered, what does everyone else think?

South Manchester and Cheshire Some-car-or-other Club!
If we can have an Astra on a RR day
then I am sure a CTR on the club stand should not be a problem
. But you will have to give us all a go around Oulton in it first.

Technically YES, but I would prefer 10 cars there rather than just 2 scoobies, if you catch my drift.
(we can always put them at the back
)

Yep, know what your saying,
is the banner big enough to hide other makes behind
, What is a CTR anyway, cant find one on a googley search. Is it one of those aluminium frames with a motorbike engine and fibre glass body??

I had a WRX when the SMACS started but some mentalists tried to break into our house to steal the keys so I had to sell it. Still want another in the future but it needs to be garaged really and it wont fit where we live.
So does that mean that I will get banned when I go to the dark side!!!

This has really got me thinking over the last week. what happens when people move up from a Scoob (yes there are so called better cars believe it or not) i.e. Supertouring gets an M5 or as in the case of Andy an EVO, maybe someone will get a 911 Turbo
are they quietly and politely ushered out of the SMACS because they aint Scoob owners or is the SMACS more of a perormance car club open to sensible members???
what does everyone think of this????
Oh and Andy you'll only get banned because everyone will be jealous and you'll have the fastest motor
As we get old (er) and move towards big fat super saloons what does teh future hold.
Will Chris still be driving a Scoob in another 15 years????

Evo same league a a Scoob (rally car for the road)
Elise pocket rocket
S4 classy scoob
Jaguar S type R

Surely you missed everyones favourite hot hatch, the CTR, off that list Andy
Chief makes some good points, I've not had a scoob since Summer 2004, but I still attend meets, Curborough, etc and am still in contact with most people via SNet.
I always think of SMACS as more of a drivers club than specifically scooby owners as there have been non-scooby owning members since the early days.
