From: I wish we had a non-profit making website to put here.
This is Scoobynet, and we are the South Manchester and Cheshire Subaru owners club aren't we?
Honarary members with different motors because they have moved on........fair enough.
New members who haven't ever had a Scoob.......debateable.

Well having had a dice with a CTR in my A6 2.8 i can vouch they are extremley quick cars and gave my Audi a run even at silly speeds, having said that i did not see which way it went once the corners arrived
A bloody shame you had to ditch the Scoob just because of some a**holes!!!!

What utter non-sense you look speak!
We have had many non-scooby members so why change all that now? At one point in the last 2 years I think if only scooby owners were allowed then we would have been down to 2 or 3 members! Now the club gets some momentum it is ScoobyOnly all of a sudden.
As as for Andy_s - if I get first go in the Evo then I am happy for you to stay
But you will have to go at the back with a 2 min delay on the runs out.(nothing new there then)

He either was not trying of was scared of cornering, a CTR would blow the doors of a lardy A6 2.8 !!!!
edited because I got it the right way round!!!!

Things hotting up now, not realy looked properly before waiting for the right car to jump up without me looking it does not happen.
On the search properly now went to Chester yesterday to look at some STi PPP's and got offered £5000 for mine so not too bad. Blue one was nice condition but dont like GOLD wheels, the Black one was a bit tatty for a 2.5 year old car!
Dai has got me thinking though "M5"
All the Evo's I have seen so far have been Chaved! I want a standard car!!
I did look at an S4 ABT the other day, went back to go for a test drive and it had been sold !! Still he let me have a test drive in it very nice! but they are like rocking horse manure!! 340bhp, all leather, Bose surround sound DVD/CD sound system very nice car!

I'll back you there Paul, a nice example and quicker than you'd think too.
At Oulton tommorow so was orignally going to enquire then, but then thought better get a better idea of numbers first. So thought i'd leave it untill Feb 2nd at the unicorn where we could have a chat about likley numbers and other stuff ect, what do you reckon??

ask them what numbers are required as a minimum & maximum for your own space, then we'll know exactly what we've got to do to meet those requirements.
Got a lot to get through next thursday, think I'd better start a list

Spoke to Oulton Park Today (in between driving around the track
). We need to get a good idea of numbers so they no whaty size space to reserve, Idealy when we have a better idea of numbers we need to get advance tickets (which will save £5 on the day) so we know people will be turning up. If the odd one or two turn up on the day that can be accomadated. So come on folks sign up,
maybe we should invite the CADS and the LADS aswell if we are going to be down on numbers- I may be going to one of the CADs meets. Non scoobies can be parked on the end i supose. Did you find the Banner Chris? Oh and whats this about you used to be a squadie, does this mean you'll have the cars parked in a smart, uniform and military manner, tallest on the left shorted on the right

2/ cw42
3/ supertouring
4/ Beefy (TBC - Can I have the CTR on the stand if we get one?
)

Nice one martin, big thanks for that. As for numbers, did they give you any indication of how soon before the event they would need to know? Lets keep the list going anyway, and see how many we get, then if we're short, we'll contact the cads and lads to make up numbers
As for being ex-army, that's right, I was in the Royal Artillery for 3 years, back in 1984. I didn't actually see any active service though, as I broke my: tibia, fibula, femur and pelvis (twice) in a motorbike crash while on the back of my brothers bike
Long story, I'll tell you all about it one day
And yes, they will be in line and colour coded too
chris.

Its just something that Ive been thinking about since looking at a Focus ST last weekend, and looking at various other alternatives.
I really fancy four wheel drive again, and since the scoob was the best car Ive had Im keen to get back into ownership again. There are some good deals on MY05 scoobs at the moment as the new models out (and personally iI prefer the older model) so it could make it possible for me to afford a change.
