confirmed tonight that Kev Sharp will run his very quick escort cossy as an invited car, and that Keith Cowies R32 GTR and the Top Secret Drag R skyline will also appear, and will go head to head in a one off race at lunchtime, which should be very good for the crowds.

Speaking of which, we need to sort out the plans for the drive over - convoy is required - hopefully to meet the SMACS again - and are we doing the BBQ/gazebo type thing etc? Suppose it can wait till the next get together at the head of mickles - but ive discovered this internet thing that may help us in the meantime ...

Having been last year to spectate there is no way I would want to ever do it sat waiting in the car in a large queue while my intake temps just go through the roof.
I think the cars should queue somewhere else up the top somewhere and when it's their turn drive down so the car is cooled down and not building up heat.
Damian.

Steven,
won't the heat be still there. In driving along my temps come down dramatically in a very short distance. A car stood still and warm will take far longer surely?

Adam, i think you should strike 2005 off as a bad year.
Damian, yes there will, if you have a decent battery, you push it along with the ignition on , so the fluid still gets cooled by the fan.
A quick spray with fine water mist will also help against heat soak.

Ill be happy when I fix the fooking car, may need to pull engine at the moment :argh:
its developed a missfire.. Looks like its number 4, and possibly another cylinder..
Compression test asap.
See if I can drop below my 11.3
