Hmmmmm, ELSIES, sorry but it does sound a bit gay to me
Thats how rumors spread !
Trev thought of ELSIE but couldn't come up with anything for the last E.
Turning to me for inspiration I happily read the dictionary on the works computer and suggested loads of E words.
Finally by adding ES I came up with something that made sense.
So after all my ramblings Its Trev that may have something to tell us.

O.K Chaps
Been having a bit of a think.
What about either of these.
E.L.A.D.S
East Lancs And District Subaru's
or
L.A.D.S
Lancashire And District Subaru's
The second takes into account we have interest from Kev in Rochdale and Pilkster in Chorley which could be classed as Met of Manchester.
Also in the valley the area turns into some form of Yorkshire around Todmorden Etc Etc.
This could encompass a far greater area and therefore attract members from west lancs and such like.
As always your views are respected.
Trev
P.S
PSML everytime I read this, Nice one Craft

Trev,
To get the ball rolling here's my first suggestion -
Free fish & chips at all meetings - that should get em turning up.
Now all we need is a supplier

Would any East Lancs scooby owners be interested in setting up a local club similar to TTS and such like for local meets organised outings and such like and possibly discounts on servicing, parts and repairs at local outlets in lancs.
There's lots of us about around here and something local should be a benefit for us all.
Please post your views.

Well volunteered Mr Chairman.
Whens the first AGM.
I'd be up for it, especially if we get a discount from a certain local chippy
Might be a bit difficult to get any interest though as the Cumbrian Scoob posse are quite local.
Might be worth teaming up with / asking (begging) them about a,
up there one week, down here the next, type of arrangement.
Only posting my thought of course - not volunteering

WOW!!!!!!
TTS has been heard of as far as East Lancs. I'm chuffed about that.
Trev, just do it.
TTS as it is today started with just 3 people. We have over 75 members now (after only 18 months), a regular monthly meet attended by 25+ scoobs every month and quite a busy calender during the summer.
Some suppliers are pleased to offer discounts to club members and this will increase your membership.
There are plans afoot to try made forge links between small clubs like ourselves under the heading of the NIDC in a bid to promote the joys of subaru ownership.
Good Luck with you venture.
Looks like your the boss, as it was your idea.
Cheers

Thanks for the kind words guys. ( At least we would have a meeting place Chris ).
It was just a thought to test the water and try and get something together that could benefit Scooby owners locally, were we can put names to faces and be involved in a common interest.
Martin
Judging by the NBO an awful lot of work and planning goes into your events and its a credit to all involved.
Chris
Well thats two of us, we need a third to make a trio then we will have the COMMITTEE and we can pass some resolutions.
Seriously, anyone else interested or wishing to express a view, please post.
Regards

Just a follow on from previous posts. I have already approached several businesses with regards to discounts on parts or services and received very favourable responses so lets get a few more names so we can take advantage of what could be on offer.

Aye lads quite interested in a meet up or something - just got myself a new scooby last week - im currently in the rochdale area.
South bloody mancs & the cheshire set have a scooby club - we ought to sort something out. (that and show some of those saddos who cruise at rochdale town hall a thing or two about a fast car)
Scooby-kev - keep an eye out for me lad! - blue 03 plate WRX in milnrow

O.K Everyone
We now have a name for this half formed group with a little help from Scooby Towers.
E.L.S.I.E.S
East Lancs Subaru Impreza Enthusiasts Society.
So welcome to ELSIES everyone.
Will leave the post up for another week or so for late lookers and then make some tentative arrangements for a first get together where the hard work and planning really starts.
Thanks for everybody's support.

mmmmm mmmmmmmmm The Cowboys

You may have a point. It seems all Subaru clubs have letters abbreviating some form of sexual context.
E.G
S.M.A.C.S Sado- Masochism
T.T.S T*TS
S.I.D.C AC/DC Perhaps
Didn't realise I was carrying on the tradition and certainly not in that context.
So I bow to your wisdom and interpretation and will seek guidance from all on a suitable name and abbreviation.
E.L.S I believe was once the name of a furniture retailers in the N.W that went into liquidation, but as you said will need to be something along them lines.
Chris
No aspersions were being cast on your sexual preferences but change the dictionary.
So can we have a concensus of opinion from all who posted as to an appropriate name and abbreviation before other Scoob clubs go driving past with fingers pointing accompanied by howls of laughter.
Over to you.

Trev
