I don't think you'll get much response from that, sorry - the people who drive scoobs around the York area are all over 25 years old, and I doubt they will be able to or even try to read your post. It makes my eyes hurt just looking at it.

Here's a tip - pretend you are typing a letter to your great grandma, and not texting your friends on a mobile phone.

Use punctuation, and above all proper English words. "neway" is not a word.

Sorry if this is incorrect, but you are making it seem appear as if you are an 18 year old sterotypical "cruiser" that none of us want to be seen as - and that will NOT appeal to anyone on here.

Have a nice time anyway

OI...

Appeals to me

car wont be ready for a couple of weeks, but I like the thought of using 500+ bhp to do doughnuts

but David.. how old are you?

I wasn't trying to imply any personal criticism, I don't even know this person - I was trying to explain that you must portray yourself as more mature than that original post to attract any interest (well, mostly eh David? ) from a group of people who by necessity have to be "older" to a) afford the car in the first place and b) insure it!

Completely agree Buzz.

We've got the same 'Max Power' MacDonalds 'cruise posse' here too. Not sure that would be my scene, howver the thought of a little 'showing off' ** Cough, Mr Wallis ** does appeal a little.. OK it's gone now.

Back to my pipe and slippers.

Or...

Tks 4 th shout.. I gotta b goin bak 2 mi .....

I give up... It's hard to write, never mind read... I really do hate that text 'talk'...

Kudos to Mr Buzz for mentioning this. Seems a sad reflection on the quality of modern education that so many people posting to a text list either can't or won't take the trouble to make themselves easily understood.

It's also rather sad that whenever this issue does come up, there's normally at least one person who'll complain about the "spelling police" taking the p*** out of poor people who don't know any better. There are times when political correctness just goes too far...

Thank you kind sirs!

I was honestly expecting lots of abuse from people who thought I was insulting the young lady. Glad my post has been interpreted in the way I intended

So, who's going then?

pmsl at Buzz

Let's have our own Scooby cruise - we can tour the local tea-rooms (adhering to the speed limits at all times) attracting admiring glances from over-the-hill greying car enthusiasts who understand how much it costs to own and run a Scoob

I'd still love to see David doing donuts tho

I've heard that you can get £15 for a trade in any scoob.

Great deal, I'm off for a WRC decaled one right now!

Not sure how 50-70 Impreza's will fit into Mac Ds car park, when it's full of clapped out Nova's and Escorts already!

Went there with the kids a couple of weeks ago, in the evening, never again. Never seen so many Max Power cars in one place before, all with their crap music blaring out and plastic bits stuck all over their cars.

At least our cars have the plastic bits stuck on from the factory, there's no room for any more.

Have a fun night, I've made a note to keep away from the area that night.

As much as I'd LOVE to come, I'm afraid the wife is out that night and I have to discharge my parental responsibilities to ensure that "Master Carmichael" doesn't develop a taste for bleach, beer, matches, sharp objects/ the adult channel etc..
