have been to the Wiggin Tree a few times, but they are off to Southport this Wednesday Bowling, so it could be a late one.

Having just bought my new scooby, I am going to be out again tonight having a play. I met a nice Legacy last night, and had a little play, but was on my own for the most part. I am after going over the hills around Buxton and surrounding area, maybe over to Macc too. Hi nige, you missed a nice run, only out for 1 hour 40 mins, but made it up woodhead from glossop, then up holmemoss, holmfirth, holmmill, then back along woodhead, and turned off down the glossop road round devils elbow (do you know that one?) into glossop, thru to hayfield, newmills, strines, marple and home. Lovely night, light traffic, great roads, only saw one other scooby, but didn't get chance to let on.
will be out again tomorrow night around 9 ish, let me know if you fancy it,

Sounds like its going to be a geriatric run, I am 37 (hardly a "lad") with what now appears to be standard baggage for a person my age (i.e. wife and 2 kids).

Will not be available till until next week, but still keen to have a good run.

just had a word with the wife, unfortunatly she is working on sunday, but I'm not! So count me in, but I will have my 2 kids with me, Paige @ 8 and Isaac @ 6, do you think it will be kid friendly? If so, I'm up for it.
I can't tell off the thread, but what is the festival everyone is going on about? is it a pub, or a ......festival of some kind?

hey super, welcome back.
Unfortunatly I am away on wednesday for a few days, so won't be able to come out to play this week.
I'm going down to ipswich, so I think that will be enough miles for one week!
I will post on here when I get back, and sort something out for a meet next week. Pity you didn't come over to this meet on sunday, very good turnout from the derby/midlands crew.

Got back from working away on Friday lunchtime and immediately shot off to Scotland for the weekend with wife and kids, so could not make it otherwise would have considered it.

ok, here is the meeting place, if you zoom out from the map, you can see a pub just before the road goes over the river in an s bend. that is called the "hare and hounds". it has a sizable car park, and is quite nice inside. The most important bit though is the proximity to some of the nicest roads in the peak district, and some local roads too.
how about next wednesday evening then, say 8pm?
reply if your going to turn up, and we can sort the numbers out.

the pub is in between where it says "dooley and lane".
Sale is only down the motorway, take the stockport east turn off to bredbury, and follow the signs for marple, you will come down to otterspool from the top of the map. good luck!
