Default Osborne - £25bn more cuts - mainly from the welfare budget!

As one or two of you know I am fairly critcial of politicians and Osborne in particular, but credit where it's due..... he is right about this:

George Osborne targets welfare as he warns of £25bn more cuts

Clegg is being an Grade A idiot trying to say something different for the sake of it! I really do wish he would just disappear!

He suggested making welfare savings by cutting housing benefit for under-25s and restricting council housing for those earning over £65,000 a year.
Why the hell should anyone earning £65k a year be allowed a council house, that's just mental. As for housing benefit for under 25s being cut I mostly agree with that, they should live at home with their parents to hopefully encourage them to get off their ***** and work so they can move out. There maybe some circumstances though where it may not be so fair e.g. home life deteriorated so badly (domestic violence etc.) that they have a better chance living independently or exceptional circumstances where they have no relatives to depend on.

Cut Foreign Aid, FFS. We obviously can't afford to give it away if we're still having to make cuts at home.

I think as long as the cuts are targeted at the right people, ie the lazy barstards, then it's a good thing.

It makes sense - the labour plan is to tax the rich is bad, they take less from the system and in most cases work hard for their riches so why should they subsidise those who live off the system with no intention of getting work. It should be simply a case of you don't get anything out until you've paid in. That'll stop jobless folk leaving home at 18 and claimin they're destitute and getting a council a house; it'll also stop welfare migration from the EU,

India being the third largest investor in the British economy may have something to do with it.

A study I was reading from Canada showed that the top decile were working 2.7 times as many hours as the bottom decile. I would be surprised if the UK figures told a very different story.

Apparently we're giving £2 million in aid to Argentina FFS! It may be just a drop in the fiscal ocean but why give a single penny to that country?

Any that wants a slice of the action when the economies of those in receipt of said aid begin to blossom, as India's has/is. It's a bribe first and foremost decorated as a handout. We're brown nosing those who either have or will eventually have more clout than us.

You need to define who you are talking about otherwise you just sound like a left wing nut job muttering to himself on a park bench.

The latest round of benefit cuts don't surprise me.
this government and it's lapdog medai have spent the last year demonising the poor, so they can just about treat them as they wish now.
Witness some of the comments on here: "They should get jobs","they need to get off their fat @rses...", etc etc.

I know quite a number of unemployed, and 99.9% of them would LOVE to "get a job".....
Unfortunately, with nearly 10% unemployed round here, it's not that easy.

For financial gain.

And I know plenty of fit able people who can work but don't work because they get enough of the government for their needs, and it isn't anywhere near the 99.9% you mention either. So yes in that respect they really do need do get off their fat ar$es because I'm sick carrying the lazy b@stards.
