Three strikes and you're out
Persistent criminals are a real problem. Giving someone a chance is one thing, but when they dont learn they must be locked up for all of our protection. How would you feel if this happened to someone in your family, a classic example?
Continual appeasement of criminals is not working. Three strikes and life!

A burglar carried out a terrifying revenge attack on a woman by returning to her home and raping her years after he was jailed for robbing her.
Ashley Mills, 28, broke into his victim's home with an iron bar, grabbed a carving knife from the kitchen cupboard and said: "I've come to rape you."
The woman, 59, thought Mills, who had previously been jailed for burgling her rural house, was going to kill her as he raped her repeatedly in the early hours.

What about those who get wrongly accused and found guilty, only to be found not guilty at a later date because the *victim* made it up. Whilst such cases may be few and far between, they are not unheard of, and I’d hate for some bloke to lose his spuds in such circumstances.

Clearly people have been banged up only to be released at a later date due to one reason or another. I hope these people get compensation for their time lost, but something doesn't sit right with me when you start lobbing bits off their body, for what is in many cases, one person’s word against another. There are of course expectations to this, as there is in any crime and associated action, one example that sticks out for me is the gang rape case in India which sadly resulted in the girl’s death. Not much defence to that one.
But let’s say any of the blokes on here go for a night out, have a bit to drink, end up having sex with somebody who’s also had a drink, which they also think is consensual, only to be accused the following morning of rape, subsequently charged and found guilty. Would you be happy to lose you tackle in circumstances like that?
