Losing senses
#1
I am being serious...
My mother-in-law is a teacher.. she had a little boy ask her the other day :
If you cannot see then you are blind, if you cannot hear you are deaf, but what are you if you cannot smell?
It wasn't a rude joke either... I assume there is no term for it?
Anyone know???
Cheers

Because you could smell anything?
I have a particularly bad sense of smell after a nose breaking incident...
I can sense there is a smell there often but cannot make out what it is... everything is just less strong...
I doubt there is a word for having no sense of smell but it would be nice for the mother-in-law to be able to answer the kids question..

My dog's got no nose.
How does he smell?
Terrible!!!
Boom boom!
I have a particularly cr*p sense of smell, as I was put on a de-sensitizing course of injections when I was young, to calm down some of my allergies. Never knew what it was called though...
