Any other Subaru owners work on the railway?
Just wondereing if anyone else on here works on the railway?
Drivers, maintenence, signalling, station staff etc?
I work in the High Peak/Greater Manchester area on an inspection team (Network Rail) but hopefully moving to the mobile flash butt welding team soon in Preston depending on interview coming up.
Any railway men or women on here?

Yeah I absolutely love it to be honest, i couldn't ask for a better job. I have been on just over 7 years now and had a variety of jobs in different departments, maintenance, technical, inspection, s&c, renewals.
The job is the same but everyday is different. I am a TCM in inspection, the money is good but I don't want to stay doing this forever. Outside the railway I have a HNC in welding and fabrication and had my own business but unfortunately had to give it up to look after a family member with cancer.
With this new mobile flash butt welder team starting up it might be a chance to combine my railway and welding skills and climb the ladder.
How do you find it yourself? Enjoy it?
