It seems to be a British thing to head straight for the bar in an airport regardless of the time of day. I caught a 7am flight to Malaga a couple of months ago and the bar was packed, at 6am a beer is the last thing on my mind.
I've also been on flights where drunks have made for an unpleasant atmosphere, being drunk and swearing is totally unnecessary within a confined cabin especially when there's kids on board.

Haha wonder what time this was... I was at manchester airport early hours this morning and seen a woman being escorted out by 3 coppers - she looked pissed and was holding a ***.

I think he would be in jail, US airports have no sense of humour at all.

I've got low standards me.
I have always been fascinated by the British cultural imperative to drink alcohol at the beginning of any holiday, regardless of the complete inappropriateness to the time of day and/or company.

I had a corona last night at Dulles before flying home. I resisted the urge to strip until I got home and decided to have a shower.
