Very sad. He had a full life tho. Still such a loss.

I remember him grlling Thatcher over the Belgrano, one of the few occasions where she was genuinely shaken!

As above. I can remember his early days with "That Was the Week That Was" in his satirical mode.

Spooky that his most famous interview - with Nixon - was on TV recently and they have re-jigged the "Through the Keyhole" series which he had made his own. I believe the first episode of a new series was last night (?).

How very sad, I had the pleasure of meeting him at a business convention in Cannes.
His on-stage speaking was a pleasure to listen to.

A great man and a great loss.
