Is this real or something you saw on Facebook?

Do people actually steal dogs?

The police can do a wild card PNC search.
White + FORD CONNECT + partial VRM.
Will probably give a hand full of restults only.
One of which will probably be in trade, or stolen, or have a load of intel on it.
Thats the one.

As for dog theft, its very real. Someone I know in the working dog community had his dogs and van stolen last week. All were recovered but eaisly £20ks worth of dogs plus £20k+ worth of pro dog van etc.

Its why my dog has a tattoo rather than a chip.

HTH!

If you can be arsed, go through every one of the first two letters used to register cars/vans on mycarcheck. They are geographical, so start with ones closest to home and you'll get it eventually. Or at least narrow it down.

Should be about 50-60?

It's a massive problem especially in cities and the immediately surrounding suburbs

In the area where I work, it's often gangs involved in dog fighting. They steal peoples pets to give their dogs something to practice on

I honestly thought it was a Facebook Myth, you know the kind where you have to share something completely made up just for the sake of it.

Be easy enough to script it, depending on the site.

Several dogs in MK have been stolen for fighting... the sick thing is that the people that want them for fighting probably dont care that some are harmless and will be distoryed without a fight.
