Why do people even bother doing the whole 'charity work thing' abroad in the first place, it's not as though were popular abroad as a nation is it? infact most of these 'bonga bonga' countries hate us as a nation. so other than to play God why ******* bother?

I've thought the same thing, especially when my last gf wanted to go back to South Africa to volunteer again, since that whole continent is one big sh*t storm of a place the thought of it really worried me and I didn't want her to go, even more so when she told me they fly into Johannesburg! Even though we're not together now the thought of it still worries me.

The islamic not jobs in zanzibar are feeling left out politically so to have been trying to prove they are a relevant force in the area. They have clearly decided to destabilize the island by attacking the tourist trade and the money it brings. I would expect extreme and harsh punishments for the people guilty.
