Well I've been told while the tattoo is healing not to do any exercise,or go swimming,or be out in the sun..
Is this absolutely 100% not to do the above, because I'm gonna find that quite difficult for up to 2 months.

And deffo on the water or sweat for that matter.
If you get the scab soaked it will go mushy and loose colour I know from first hand experience. I played hockey for 2hrs I'm my goalie gear. My tattoo now has lighter patches.
Try to buy bepNthin spelling lol it's very good to use on them

I used to use tattoo goo, then my tattooist changed to bepanthen so used that. I also used to always go in winter so as to not stay covered up and also less likely to sweat.

Where did you get it done?

The guy who did my ink always said not to use bepanthen, I geuss its personal preference!
But yeah swimming and sunlight need to be avoided, along with sweating etc.
With mine been on my back I need a lot of touch up where my shirt had rubbed some of the scabs etc off!

Inks and techniques have came along way. The top half of my sleeve is nearly 10 years old and is sharp as the day a got it done. And the black ink used is black still not like when you see them turn blue which IMO looks horrific.

Get booked in with Nicole Lowe. She was in London ink. If your willing to travel And pay what ever it costs. You will struggle to find better at Japanese style.

A good tattooist should have books full of reference materials and also pictures of thier own work for you to look through. Not sure what area your in but go visit some and discuss what your after. If you google koi fish then find some examples you like then print them off and take them along with you.
