Anyone had a cheque cloned?
Just had our bank on the phone to ask if it was correct to pay £7,500 to someone called Abdul Llahali.
Its a work cheque with two signatures and according to the bank very good copies. Only reason why the bank picked it up initially was that the cheque number had already been presented.
Makes me wander how they got their hands on one of our cheques in the first place to forge the signatures. You'd have thought they'd use a slightly less conspicuous name too.

This has happened at our place as well. Good copies with even a fairly good signature copy. Luckily the bank noticed and the guy tried a second time and got arrested!
They probably work at the bank and get the info from there

I can't see it being a bank employee, they would know better than that.
Probably someone working for the company that you sent the cheque to has photocopied it and had it made..
