Anyone wear contacts?
As title.....
I'm on the 4th pair from specsavers ....and everything is still blur?
Is it just specsavers that are useless muppets or do these things take time to get right
Tbh wish I'd never bothered if it wasn't for the constant banging headaches I wouldn't
First pair I had to put them in in the shop then have a eye test , was told they were no good ,take them out and bin them and a new pair would be ordered,
Next pair was just handed over to me 2 weeks later....even worse than the first pair (tried them at home)
Phoned them st away and told them they were ****.....must be a faulty pair we will re order the same
Week later gets a phonecall to collect the new ones , my missis went in and they have given her 2 pairs (different brands).........both ****e and blur
6 weeks this has been going on for

Are they gas permeable or soft lenses?
When I started wearing gas permeables, it took a couple of pairs to get it right - but they told me it would, something about getting a decent fit on your eye and then the correct prescription for that shape of lens. Since then, any new lenses I've had as my eyesight has changed have all been right first time.

I order my day and night monthlies from getlenses.co.uk - they even sent me some freebies a couple of weeks ago.
From shopping around, I found out that Specsavers just re-brand the boxes that the lenses turn up in.
If I was you, I'd go somewhere else for an eye test and see if the prescription they give you matches up.

I tried them, but gave up. They used to go blurred when I was riding my motorbike. Took me a while to work out why, but my blink rate slowed considerably, I guess due to the levels of concentration required, and I really didn’t want or need the hassle of having to consciously blink to keep my eyes working properly.

i do wear contacts occassionally, although working on building sites i dont for two reasons which is dust and the stupid safety glasses i would have to wear when i may as well wear my normal glasses.
got mine from costco and never had any problems as the optician there was brilliant .
dont wear them at work or much at the minute as my eyes are suffering badly from hayfever and can see that not being a good thing to wear them with hayfever.

I would like to wear contacts but I don't think you can get them just for reading. Even if you could, poking my eyes every two minute to read documents and then to look at people would be a torture! Therefore, glasses are the only option for me. I do hear that you can get verifocal lenses these days, but again, the thought poking my eyes with my fingers even any time (if not every two minute) makes me cringe.
