Default Suggestions for listening material for a long drive ?

Normally I listen to my audio books, but got 4 other people with me this time, about 4 hours each way.

Any suggestions ?

I suggest Radio 4. See, they can't say that they don't like it, because it may make them look a bit less intelligent. So, basically, Radio 4 should put your passengers to sleep while you focus on driving peacefully. You should have your iPod concealed in your pocket with wireless earplugs. That should allow you to listen to your favourite audio book while they are snoring hard.

I'd just put on the more 'popular/mainstream/socially acceptable' cd's that you own, or create an iPod playlist.

If she's in the car I'm in serious trouble ..

I wasn't thinking music wise, as there is no chance in me finding something anyone will like ..

I asked them, go no reply as you might expect ..

Connect your mp3 player to your car, download a pile of albums from all genres, select "all songs" and hit the shuffle option.

Was out with the wife and kids on Monday, only drove for around 4 hours, and did this. Spent all day yesterday working at my garden, got through 11 hours worth of tracks.
