Legal Advice - how can you see how many times someone has been in a civil court?
As per title, I have some twit who is throwing his weight around, and is backed by a small fortune and a desire to just be a pain in the ***.
If I were to know his name, and all of the companies he currently owns, as well as his previous companies is there a way to see how many times he has sued people, counter claimed against people, or being taken to court by people.
Ideally, I'd also like to be able to see how many times he has filed suits and then settled out of court before "destroying someone".
I have tried to take legal advice, but unfortunately they are talking figures that are well beyond my means

Basically he refused to pay invoices, then when he was taken to court for circa £1k, he counter sued for £20k. He seems to do this to a lot of people to try and force a settlement and to make a case really expensive.
Hence the desire to get some history.

sadly this happened to me -- quite a long time ago
sued for non payment (they actually cancelled a cheque), they counter sued, which was such total rubbish and they changed their story all the way etc etc
the case then gets heard in their jurisdiction, which was miles away - and worse in Leeds (say no more)
but they actually got judgement!!!!!!!!
when i recounted the story to a lawyer friend he simply said "very few cases get heard in the court of appeal"
so often not a case of right and wrong - and you naively think right wins, well maybe - but be prepared to take it all the way

Back to the original point, can we find out how often he has been doing this? We know which court, but we want to know how many people he does this to.

Yeah, that's pretty much what is happening here. I'm ready to take it all the way, but its going to be a tough technical battle all the way.

Lets not go down that route. I do know what you mean, but beating someone in court is so much better as it proves you were right in an entirely legal point of view.

Unless you have the finances to take it to the house of lords
Maybe then you will get the correct judgment
Otherwise pragmatism should rule, do not let emotion play any part in your decision process
Heed the words of tony spoprano, "it is only business"
