What is murder?
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-london-22039313
So this girl (14) interrupts a game of football and gets disrespected by a boy (15).
She rings up her boyfriend (17) and says come and stab this boy. Then she tells the boy he's gonna get stabbed. Sure enough, boyfriend turns up and stabs said boy to death.
And yet:
Nah of course they didn't intend to hurt the poor boy, that was just an accident.
So now the 17 year old murderer, who thinks he's like "gangsta or sumting" only has to serve 10 years. Even if he serves the full sentence he'll be out at 27 and surely a threat to other people who might disrespect what ever girl he's with?
Are these judges for real?
What message does this send to any other wannabe gangstas that carry knives?
You can do away with someone and only lose a few years of your life!
Thats really gonna stop knife crime isn't it!!!

Jurors found the teenagers guilty of manslaughter but cleared them murder, as they accepted the pair had not intended to cause Junior serious harm.

Seems the judge/jury now see knife ownership and carrying as part of modern day life for young people in certain areas of the country, so carrying and using one isn't in itself proof of pre-meditation.
Wait, what!?!
Wait, what!?!

This thread has not gone the way I thought it would
But back on topic, Doom Bar is better than Tribute (only just mind), and think Morrisons sell it, and Majestic.

They will be serving less than half that sentence in a young offenders institution then released on license. What a justice system. The guy stabbed would have served more time if he had beat up the girl who started it then walked away. I hear more and more these days about young women using their boyfriends 'rep' as an excuse to do whatever they like. When it goes wrong the woman who started it gets a light or non existent sentence, the guys end up dead, in hospital or in Prison. I would have given the girl and her boyfriend life.

This thread's about beer, isn't it?
Anyway, where can one purchase this Doom beverage?

My wife's grandad built the industrial units that Doom is brewed on. Still owns a few.
Guilty secret but I'm a big fan of Badger ales too...
Skinners do some nice stuff too; the son (Ben) is a pro surfer. He's a good looking, top bloke and his dad runs a successful brewery. I want to borrow his life; just for a week or so.

RCH Brewery is the way forwards. Pitchfork is a personal favourite.
The sentences are a joke btw. Perhaps Saudi's have a firmer grip on the meaning of justice? A chap who stabbed and paralysed a man is due to be paralysed himself after failing to meet the compensation requirements. A bit extreme but better than some tosser getting out in no time and being a menace to society in the long run.

Why are you blaming the Judge?! It was the JURY who reached that verdict, not the Judge. Having reached that verdict, the Judge is limited in his/her sentencing powers-they cannot sentence as if it was a murder! If you want to blame anyone, blame the 12 members of the public who were the jury and returned the verdict!!

It's their equivalent of Doom; heavily marketed but as you say, not great. Their other stuff is good though. As mentioned, Ginger Tosser is nice but hard to find.

A bit like firing a few bullets through your bathroom door. You didn't mean to kill anyone, just scare them, but someone died as a direct result of your actions.

There are a few interesting Micro breweries popping out down here now, worth searching out. That is if you like ale, unlike myself Used to live and work close to Sharpes brewery.

'Spoons have an ale festival on at the moment. I'd tell you which ales but having sat here for an hour or so I can no longer read.
Oh, and back to the OP. They should both serve life, and life should mean life - premeditated murder.
