Holy crap, How much are these things worth? I had 100's of these figures as a kid, I still have some in the loft and some of the the vehicles cost even more.

That's one hell of a set.
I didn't have many of the figures but had loads of the vehicles (except an AT-AT, not that I'm bitter mum & dad!!! )
I do remember my Boba Fett having the rocket pack on the back which is meant to be quite rare?

My older brothers had loads of those figures, just looking at them brings back loads of memories (tying Luke to a sainsbury's carrier bag like a parachute and throwing him out of the window never to be seen again).
They also had the AT-AT, X-wing and Millennium falcon as well. I bet they ended up down the tip!

One of my reps worked for the toy company who licensed them. He said when the craze fizzled out in the 80's they had so many left that they ended up in land fill.

I'll guess the reason this collection is being sold is Disney announced they will be re issuing all the original 70's figures making these pretty much worthless.
The collectors have been up in arms about it.

Hi Guys. Star wars fan/collector in peace here.
To the OP - The auction you linked to is very nice. Providing all weapons are original and dependent on the condition of the last 17 Figures that is a very fair price plus it also includes 100 protech stands which cost £100 alone.
Let me explain the "Last 17 Figures" was as the name suggest the last 17 Figures produced in the line throughout 1984/1985 and where made in less number than the rest and are more desirable/rare.
They are
-Lumat
-Paploo
-R2D2 with Pop up Lightsaber
- Awing Pilot
- Han Solo with Carbonite Chamber
- Imperial Dignitary
-Imperial Gunner
- Luke Skywalker in Stormtrooper Oufit
- EV9D9
- Amanaman
- Barada
- Anakin Skywalker
- Lando General
- Luke Skywalker Balte Poncho
- Romba
- Warok
and Finally Yak Face the rarest of the lot and most rare in the US as it was never released there.

Some Great stories and memories on this thread just think what stuff could have been chucked out in bins and landfill sites!
To "SpecialX" Its doing the polar opposite actually and reigniting more interest in the original vintage line!
To "Edd Scott" I have one of those myself and you correct with your valuation around £20-25
If anyone has any star wars collections to sell just hit me up henton--liam1942@hotmail.co.uk and I will value them or at least point you in the right direction.

I was in Toys-R-Us at the weekend with my daughter and I noticed they had an AT-AT walker for sale in a box that looked like the original stuff and I noticed that the price tag underneath said "Star Wars Vintage".

I had loads of figures, an X Wing, an AT-AT, and Slave 1
Boxed them all up and put them away carefully when I left home for polytechnic. Only for my mother to give them all to my cousin, along with all my Lego, because he'd get more pleasure out of them
The ****** still does get plenty of pleasure out of them, by reminding me that he still has them
The real irony is that throughout my childhood, my mother was always going on at me to look after all sorts of worthless tat, because 'one day it will be worth something'

Noticed there were a few 'Starwars Vintage' items.
I don't see how Disney putting out new figures based on the original designs will lessen the value of the genuine originals?
