Advice?
Just sold a Car Part on the Internet.
Buyer wants to pay via PayPal ... I have never taken payment via PayPal before, just bought things through it.
How do I get money from PayPal and into my Bank Account? They only have my Credit Card details - also, any charge for me to take payment via PayPal?
I would rather Bank Transfer - but can understand the buyers reluctance (maybe less protection?).
Another question - what's the best way to send it? It's big and reasonably heavy ... ParcelForce?
I am not used to online selling and buying where trust is a big part of the deal ... and I hear of people complaining via PayPal and getting all their money back, maybe for non-delivery of goods?
How does a seller protect himself?
Cash and pick-up isn't an option as they are about 150 miles away .... cost of part and delivery about £200.

Take the parcel to royal mail and ask them the best way to send it. Make sure you get it signed for at the other end.
If you have a paypal account then you can enter your bank details and withdrawn the money to your account. It costs 25p if its under £50 but more than that is free.

Use paypal, send everything tracked so if the buyer tries to file a dispute then you can prove its been sent and signed for. If the parcel is big and heavy use www.interparcel.com for shipping

Well, just weighed it - 4kg without wrapping.
Size, well it's the size of an MX5 Boot Lid, basically.
Buyer has agreed to Bank Transfer .... now, question on this - if paid into a savings account, is it as instant as into a current account?
Does ParcelPost collect from home?

They're about 150 miles away ..... I would prefer collection, but it's probably not on the cards.
£20 for ParcelForce to collect from me and deliver there next day - not bad, I guess?
