Not what you want to hear, but for 30+ over the limit the guidelines recommend a ban.....

Thumbs up

I got nabbed on the M27 roadworks last year 83 in a 50.

54 day ban and £250 fine . Good news though, insurance only went up by £10 per year.

Sorry to hear about that m8. Just plead guilty and turn up to court, shows your concern over the offence.

Cheers

Iain

Hi guys. SIx years ago prior to my Sport I was driving a wicked NIssan Cherry(suped up mind you with a cherry bomb exhaust!). Anyway me and Rods were out on the town cruising for any lonesome bit of crumpet. Anyway our local town has a highstreet 5 miles long and whilst I was gauping at the scenery(you know what i mean ahahahahhaahahaha), I had gone up to a speed of 96 mph! Anyway a local bobby stopped us and I tried to explain that I had been distracted by Rod dropping a hot chicken drumstick on my lap. He actually let us off. Mind you he did ask for a quick spin around the block in my Cherry! Just by chance he was a member of the Nissan Cherry owners club. Thats why he let us off! Small world isn't it?

Bad boy! It will depend on where you did it, when you did it and so on. i.e If you did next to a school at half three your fu*k*d but if it was on the motorway at two in the morning then it will be mild.

Regards Callum......

Jeez how times have changed (for the better of course). I was booked doing 96 in a 50 (copper thought 90 - I didn't argue) and got an £80 fine and three points. This was when they played fair by chasing you with their blue lights flashing. Bugger me I even waited for the sodz to catch up with me - how naive I was. This was on a Honda CB1100RD about 12 years ago. That's inflation for you.

Speeding around a corner may not only get you points, but you may end up off the road

Clean driving license.

3 points some years ago but long gone when I committed the offence.
At the time when i was caught Stan Collimore was also caught in virtual the same circumstances (but driving a 2.2t Range Rover rather than riding a GSXR6) and he got 6points and £400 odd fine. I was well pissed at that (I don't earn £30k a week).

Sorry, had to get that off my chest.

DP.
