Mexico honeymoon recommendations

We went to the Riviera Maya for our Honeymoon. Had a great time.
So many big hotel/resorts to choose from along there and I don't think you will go wrong with any of them to be honest as they are all competing with each other.

Stayed here a few years back was great. Nice quiet location. Could hop in a taxi down to the harbour and the designer shops. About 40mins to 1 hours drive in to Cancun for a night out.

But when we were there we got offered a free night in here. WOW!! Absolutly stunning!

We came back from http://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/Hotel_R...Peninsula.html at the end of November last year.
It's an adults only resort (not swingers) although there is a naturist sunbathing area which is fenced off from the rest of the resort.
It really was five star all the way, couldnt fault the service, people or the accomodation. We upgraded the room to a swim up room, which to be honest was a waste of money as the pool by the room was too small to warrant and the beach was too nice to miss.
I'd be happy to give you more info via pm if you have further questions on this place.

We stayed here mate:
El Dorado Royale, Riviera Maya
Was very nice, no complaints apart from the air con was a bit noisy when we arrived but that was sorted after one call to the concierge.
About 45 mins from the main bar area of Cancun. Free shuttle bus available from the resort at set times.
Fully all-inclusive with 24hr room service and plenty of restaurants to choose from.
Worth the upgrade on the flight to "Premium" as it's quite a long flight.

Not sure of the flight times to Mexico
But be careful, to much travelling in too short a time is a pretty stressful business
And weddings are pretty stressful in themselves

Moon Palace, best hotel ive ever stayed in period.
Awsome place, food to die for Crab Lobster Fillet steaks, you can even walk into food hall in scruffs and get a plastic tray to take back to your room.
Buts its expensive, me and my mate went as a last lads holiday, all we did was sit by the pool have hollowed out melons brought to us, and get pissed.
I drank 17 tequila slammers at 1pm. and lets just say I must have been close to death was in bed for 3 days, and felt like death.

Thompson I think Azz. Wish It'd of been Virgin but can't complain really.
Got a whole load of places to go visit and see. That's one of the reasons we chose Mexico. Seems a great mix of modern and historical. I love the whole Mayan thing so really looking forward to it

Plenty of people I know and plenty of people in this thread have been and loved it. Mexico is a big country and there are rubbish parts but the Riviera Maya isn't one of them.
