Generally they're worth a LOT less than you think, unless you have something recognised as rare.
The best i can do is a mint copy of Now That's What I Call Music, volume 1, but even that would probably struggle to make £50.

I had 40 or 50 old records from the days when I fancied myself as a DJ (I was dreadful at it) which I took too a local record shop last year and got £80 for, so if there's somewhere like that close to you it's worth seeing what they offer.
They didn't want the Mrs' collection of early 90s boyband singles though... they ended up in a skip

I sold a load a year or so ago. Split into 10 at £25 buy it now seemed to work ok and shifted all 200 that way on e bay.
Still have a few hundred here but don't think I'd get what I think their worth so will probably keep them.

Still, it's a relatively valuable item.

When I was a child I had the teenage mutant ninja turtles lp I believe it was the only one made - won in a compo. The family split up and when I was about 16 I was offered it back. Knowing it would be worth something I said yes. It was ruined... One of my sisters let her brat drew all over the case n scratched the lp to ****!

Too many to list but I have 3 early oasis 12" Promo's on white label that are maybe worth something now.
I have records in the collection worth well over £500 each and even found a track I made in 1995 going for $425 in the US! (must dig out my spare copies!)

Sold Led Zep 4 in pink vinyl for £40 on ebay some years ago to a collector. At the same time I had an original 60s Stones single (brown sugar) on as well but it didnt even get a bid.

Greensleeves is a very collectable lable now and you always get the completists wanting everything, Early Oasis Demos have always been worth money and have been also heavily counterfeited, I know for a fact there are fakes of `I am the walrus` - `*** on feel the noise` - `live forever`, because i have them in my hand

Had an acetate copy of Daydeam Believer by the Monkees.
Metal disc .single-sided,type written label.
I was just a kid & had no idea.............used & abused it.
May have been an un-released version.I remember it had some talking at the end.

Have my dads old vinyl records , Beatles , Monkees , Simon & Garfunkel , Top Of The Pops etc. All 60s / 70s .All in excellent condition. Looked on Ebay a couple of years ago and there was so many variations in value i just put them away again.
They will either be worth more in the future , or nothing at all.

My mother in law has asked me to offload her record collection, loads of sole, r&b jazz funk etc...
Is eBay really the only way to go, I cannot be arsed to list them in their entirety.

I remember going into 'Selecta-disc' in Nottingham a few years back. An old mate found original cellophaned copies of The Prodigy's 'Experience' and 'Music for the Jilted Generation' albums. For £10 each B&stard
