Mid Jan is supposed to be cold and the cold weather apparently will last into early spring.

Bloody hate snow. Makes the journey to work a nightmare and usually kills at least some of the stuff in the garden. Looks pretty for a day before all the dirty slush makes a mess of everything. Wouldn't miss it if we never had snow again.

4wd in the snow is all well and good until you realise that you can't steer, and you can't stop, any better than any other car on the road. The only advantage is passing the BMWs up the hills. Wears thin quickly.

You may have to go out on a wet day and drive a bit faster!

This weekend is probably our "best" chance of snow. An 80%+ chance for England and Wales On Friday into Saturday.

There is also a 50% chance for a repeat towards the end of the month.

After that things will start to warm up.

Utter rubbish!!! Get the proper tyres on your car and you can stop and steer in snow.

I think Telboy was referring to drivers who will be running on normal/summer tyres, which will be 99% of the cars on the road.
