Christmas is not what it used to be because Virgin and Sky give you access to Blockbusters all year round!

Default Lesie is a Christmas Peado!

Seek and you shall find. Close to 97% of the stuff broadcast on the UK airwaves is complete rubbish, this percentile has only adjusted fractionally since the dawn of electric. A bit cliché but i will try to show why.

Eastenders, Coronation Street, Emmerdale et al are peerless in how terrible they are, they will never even make such a list, they even go so far to correlate between themselves in regards scripts and then go on to make a fictitious awards ceremony to pat each other on the back. Avoid

So, UK stuff to watch, that has aired within the year 2012.

Peep Show (start from 1st season)
Misfits (start from 1st season)
Dara O Brians Science Club
Stephen Fry Gadget Man
Masterchef
Outnumbered Xmas Special (start from 1st season)

US stuff from this year

True Blood
Broadwalk Empire
Dexter
Homeland
Game of Thrones
House
Nikita
American Horror Story
Being Human

Its Always Sunny in Philadelphia (one of the best shows ever broadcast, takes at least 10 eps to understand)

How i Met Your Mother
Once Upon a Time
30 Rock
Parks and Recreation
New Girl
Weeds
Modern Family
Suburgatory
The Big Bang Theory
Two and Half Men
Up All Night
Family Guy
American Dad
Don't Trust the Bitch in Apartment 23
The News Room
Scandal
Touch (Worth your time, did get a second series for 2013)

Don't waste your time with cancelled shows that require answers, Alcatraz being the biggest letdown, billed as the next Lost, it was not.

List not exhaustive

No, it is not. Not only is this film a pile of s**t, Paul has obviously never read the books or watched the original film nor read the thread title.

I saw A Christmas Carol with Jim Carrey's voiceover. I found some scenes very trippy. Specially the one when Scrooge holds the scarf of that fat ghost and looks down. In fact, I think the makers of that film were constantly on acid while making it.

What happened in Eastenders this Chistmas? Did someone get murdered or slept with their partner's relative/mate, and then it all kicked off big style or something? It's always like that on Christmas over there, innit?

I watched 'Girl with Dragon tattoo' and thought it was rather good (thru the haze of a bottle of red..) -- and it was the original Danish version (subtitled )

Racing legends (one about Stirling Moss and the other about Jackie Stewart) was excellent, they are both on iplayer for 1 more day. I think there is supposed to be one more about Colin McRae but I'm not sure when it will be on...

The original Girl With The Dragon Tattoo film (the Swedish one ) is excellent.

I've got Ripper St. on Sky Plus and will try and watch it before Sunday. Once I have more than one episode to watch I tend to never watch them for some reason.

The James May show where he built the glider was a good watch.

Mrs Leslie and I go along with that. Good entertainment even though some of the intellectuals won't agree of course.
