That brings back memories!
I lived near Biggin Hill as a kid.Plenty of old bomb craters to play in.
Amazing how big some of them were,15ft deep x 30ft across.It gave you some idea of the power of those things.Also we used to have an amazing collection of shrapnel.

I worked with a chap who's Dad was German.
He used to wind people up by saying his Dad was in the Luftwaffe & came over here after the war as a bricklayer as there was plenty of work!
Who said the Germans don't have a sense of humour?

I would say it shows where the bombs landed.The craters I saw where usually in the middle of fields or in woods.The map shows craters where I remember them being.
