Default Venue advice

Looking for a venue for my birthday.

I need somewhere that is somewhat equidistant between Cheshire / Hertfordshire and a handful of relatives in Glastonbury and Bournemouth.

I've tried looking on some websites to rent a country house / castle etc.

The castles were predominantly in Scotland but were looking good (Apart from the fact that I've attended one in summer and got bitten to death by midges)

My birthday is in June so Scotland is out - apart from the fact that it is miles away from everyone I'd invite.

Looked at Luton Hoo but it is stupid expensive.

I was looking to invite approx 100 people ie 50 rooms. At £400 a room a night for 2 nights that's a hell of a lot towards my dream of an R8.

Maybe I should invite people and get them to pay their own rooms?

For £1000 you can use my function room and I'll provide a hog roast for your guests.

But you'll all have to come to Nottingham.

I was up your way the other week. I wish I'd thought about it at the time as I had a whole roasted pig to get rid of.

You could have warmed it in the furnaces and fed your colleagues.

We did think about having a party at home but, in all honesty, we just don't have the room to host the number of people that will be invited. I'm looking for somewhere that will have enough bedrooms for all, clay pigeon shooting, quad biking, fishing, sailing..... Etc.

Nottingham is a possibility. How much for a 72 pint barrel of ale?

How old will you be and will all 100 travel just for you? Please don't see that as a negative comment. Just wondering if you really need somewhere huge.

Why don't you do a dinner cruise on the themes in London? Cheap and in the capital... Then you should have a change for the R8 and my finde fee
