What a fantastic display of technological power though!
Terrorist in single car driving along friendly (to him) street .... a drone, flown via Radio Control, launches a missile which destroys that single target - now, that's impressive!!
Nice one ..... I wonder if it was being spotted via a lazer from an agent on the ground?

I dont think you know whats actually happened pete.
This could be the start of the Iran-Israel war. Iran just needs an excuse to launch and they are just weeks away from possessing a nuclear weapon.

Give Israel there due - they don't **** around....!
I bet it wouldn't have taken them 10+ years and counting to get rid of Abu Quatada - lol
There was an interview on the R4 Today program this morning from a Israeli leader, didn't catch who, who actually came across extremely well, it seems that Hammas have been goading Israel 'in their face' for best part of a year, continually firing rockets further & further into towns. There's only so long you can sit on your hands before retaliating!

Think of it this way ...... Iran doesn't have Nuclear Weapons as yet, nor the means to deliver them too accurately.
Isreal have purchased the latest Bunker Busters from the USA ..... these buncker busters are very, very, very heavy - if Isreal have an aircraft to deliver them (which they may well have!) - then, they are now ready, willing and able to destroy the Iranian Nuclear Installations.
Wait, watch ... and learn - once the USA gives the nod the attack will go ahead as has been planned for a long time now. Iran are supplying the weapons to Hammas - what a convenient reason to sent the government in Tehran a message from the free world.

I'm more aware of it than most, I would suggest.

In the last Israeli/Palestinian conflict the casualties were something like 14 Israelis killed to 1400 Palestinian deaths.
Not quite right is it?

I think this shows just how close to the edge we are - we all go about our life and give little thought to war, but its closer than we might think and if Iran run to China and they get involved we might be in a whole world of crap... there was an interview about trident on the news the other day and the MP was saying its a lot of money but we have to think 20-30 years ahead what will the world look like then... and he has a very good point!!!
How many countires are in a state of "tension"... almost every country in the far east - China, Japan, N&S Korea, Taiwan.
Then you have the Pakistan issue... they are starting to really p*ss a lot of people off.... and dont even start on Africa!

Because he was probably a) a good leader and b) intelligent.
Cut him out and it leaves a power vacuum that needs to be filled and it may well not be someone so capable that takes over. It also destablises the organisation and makes it less effective for the time being as running a military campaign takes cunning/leadership and a lot of smarts, otherwise they may just as well charge the machineguns.
Sure, if someone who is better at the job comes along, then its all for nothing but by that time, a few more leaders/2iCs have been taken out and so the process continues.
So, short term "reprisal" negated by long-term benefit.

£25b is a very small price to pay for the ability to hit back with a power that only God should be capable of.

Why is the middle east such a volatile ****hole ?
They are always up for a ruck, I reckon it is because it is hot, dusty and they have to do all that religion stuff, what they all need down there is a few pints, a bacon butty and a good angry ****.
Israel always seems to be in conflict with somebody, was Syria a bit ago but now Syria are too busy arguing with themselves, they had a bit of a ruck with Iran a few weeks ago, Egypt and Libya were destroying themeselves earlier this year, I am sick of hearing about Hammas, Hezzbollah, Mossad etc, I am sick of hearing about Iraq, almost every day there is a bomb in a market, last one 19 hours ago according to a quick Google,
http://www.nytimes.com/2012/11/15/wo...acks.html?_r=0
It is always a market, it would really curb my desire for a pair of cheap jeans or some Nut Brittle if there was a better that 50 percent chance of ending up in several large clumps, cue footage on the news of bodies with sheets over, wailing women and angry blokes waving AK47's about in the back of Toyota pickups.
Perhaps it would be best if they nuke the **** out of each other, settle it once and for all !

The west are only interested in stopping the Iranian Nuclear Program ...... oh, and maybe the oil fields could ease the shortage in world markets?
Also, Iran has threatened to shut the Straits of Hormuz ..... if they did that that would be an act of war which would legally allow the west to destroy Irans infrastucture.
Iran cannot be allowed to have Nuclear warheads - the results of that are simply too horrific to contemplate ... they have already said that Israel should be wiped off the face of the earth!
