Good sentencing by a judge?

Driver who drove on pavement to avoid school bus told to wear 'idiot' sign.

Judge orders woman from Cleveland, Ohio, to spend two sessions at crossroads sporting sign condemning her behaviour

Is that because you aren't allowed to drive by a School bus in the USA when it's collecting/delivering the children?.

She drove on the pavement to get around them. Better idea of a punishment fitting the crime I'd say. Hopefully the embarrassment of her telling everyone she's an idiot will stop her doing it again.
