wheeler dealer impreza
seen this a few times before but not really payed alot of attention, watching it now and he's fitted an exhaust and panel filter, take it to get it remaped and its ran 205hp but apparently fitting the exhaust and filter has made the car lose power, is this right or is it bullish*t?
i thought it shouldnt make any difference fitting either of the above

I have always been convinced that Subaru know what they are doing when designing their cars ....... they produce the maximum power, given that they want the car to be supremely reliable too.
So many 'enhancements' do little - or nothing - to deliver more power ..... the clever Engineers know that .... the Hobbyists like to believe otherwise, each to their own.

Not sure with scoobies but make sense for my current car (Zafira GSI). When I got had a VXR Turbo and exhaust fitted but I recently decatted the exhaust and changed the Actuator settings which is causing the computer to go into limp mode and pull back.
It needs another remap to sort out but I should be looking at 260+ BHP or closer to 300 BHP if I get the rest of the bits fitted (FMIC, VXR Maf, Injectors)

Just watched the whole video, the one thing that they did not do was to sort out the handling so it might go fast but it will still handle the same.

That's about right!
The thing that gets me is that the mechanic dude spends days or what must be a week or more bodging about with stuff, which is never taken into consideration with the 'spends'.
The silver viper style signature racing stripe looked errmmm... Fantastic...?
