Default Anyone else getting shafted by BT?

To cut a long story short. Have Infinty2 Broadband and Telephone package with BT.

Been paying on Direct Debit now for years with a monthly payment of £39.00 a month and this has been keeping me in credit.

This month Noticed BT in their wisdom have now put my payments up to £54.50! a month.

Did some digging into my online account, and I seem to be paying for something called 'Friends and Family free weekly calls' and 'Friends and Family Mobile'.

I have now changed this to the weekend only friends and family option for £0.00. Yet the speil on the account page recons BT have set it to the above as it was my cheapest option!? Yet it was costing around £5.00 each for the options.

Now what is also making my blood boil is that I cannot change my payments back as it will mean I am in Debit to BT

What a bunch of thieving Tossers!

Anyone else going through this as well?

That's about par for the course with BT..

Had a webworld account with them which I cancelled, but of course they kept sending me the bills and chasing for payment ages after the account was closed

Have nothing to do with them now.

I've just quit BT because I am moving house, I will not be taking them with me, overpriced and terrible customer service.

I left BTover 10-years ago and have never looked back; Sky aren't brill or cheap, but at least they transparent and willing to negotiate

Same here, got rid years ago. Sounds like BT haven't changed much in that time.
