I'm not sure I see the point, anyone who doesn't make that connection anyway is very unlikely to be convinced by a poster .. in fact as you suggest they are likely to do something stupid.

Anyone using the pretext of Islam to perpetrate unlawful acts and general tomfoolery is an enemy. Anyone using hysteria and hyperbole for cheap political gain is also an enemy.
You could read it in a lot of ways, influencing the local citizenry to vote one way or another (in which case more likely for Romney), or trying to give public opinion on the subject a gentle nudge more generally, in the hope it'll trickle up (through focus groups or whatever) and reach the ear of either or both candidates.

Applying these conditions it would seem that you and the authors of the ad' are on the same page regarding Hamas and Tehran.

I think it's about raising awareness, but I'm still not sure how this is party political.
