Lets face it even real Beats headphones aren't all that, fakes are going to be terrible. These headphones are fashion statements (bit like Apple stuff ) not Hi-Fi so on that basis you may as well have fakes
For decent headphones look at Sennheiser, Grado, Beyerdynamic, etc.

I tried a few sets and have to say the Beats ones were actually pretty decent, couldn't bring myself to pay £300 for a pair as you end up looking like a right hipster/fashion victim dick like all the other Cybermen walking around, when I had my Sennheisers years back I got looked at like I was from Mars even if I wore them on a plane, now people walk down the street looking like Murray walker in mid commentary.
The best i have tried, and I am not a massive fan of Bose stuff are the Quietcomfort 15's, the noise reduction on a knackered Delta 767 is wonderful.

I've got the studio version beats,my wife bought them for me when they first came out the quality is superb I started to hear instruments and sound effects that I did not even know where in certain tunes, you have to put a battery in one of the head phones.it really depends on how much you really listen to music if just once in a while don't bother there to exspensive but if you are a headphones type of guy like everyday use then go for it.

I'm very happy with my Audio Technica M50 anniversary edition headphones, ive had various Sennheiser headphones, the Audio Technica ones sound better and more solidly built. Some of the Sennhesier build quality is a bit weak with plastic bits breaking off etc, thats not including the top end £200+ ones though.
Ive listened to a pair of the fake Dr Dre Detox headphones as i bought a pair on ebay just to see what the sound was like, i knew they were fake by the style of the listing and the images so i knew i'd have no problem returning them. The sound is comical to put it kindly, very tinny and hardly any base. If someone wants to buy a pair of fakes just for street cred then make sure you have a quality pair of earphones underneath then slide these things over the top
