Default iPhone sim

Ive been given an iPhone 4 which requires a micro sim, my current phone has a normal size sim which costs me 10.50 a month on virgin with all the calls, text and data allowances I need so ideally I'd like to keep this sim if possible.
I have looked on the net and sim card cutters have cropped up, anyone used one, do they work?

If the cutters a no go I'll need a new sim only deal, any suggestions welcome.

Thanks.
Nik.

I've got a sim cutter, works a treat. However, you can cut them down to size using scissors if you're careful.

Here's a template to help you out >>> http://www.best-payg-deals.co.uk/ima...m-template.pdf

Bit of a bugger when you want to upgrade to a better phone however

Probably quite soon given the low spec

The guys wants to know about making his sim fit and you turn it into an anti apple thread

To the OP, I'd advise using a sim cutter, I tried cutting mine with scissors and it didn't work and my sim was useless after.
I went to a Vodafone store and they gave me a microsim for free for my existing number, don't know if virgin will do that.

You can call Virgin and ask. My wife got an iPhone and we just called Orange to swap the sim and they were fine.

Alternatively, just cut it down. I've done quite a few (for the iPad) and they all worked fine.

They should, I would have thought. After all, more and more phones require micro-sims these days.

Haha wouldn't surprise me

Why don't they stop dicking about and leave em all same size , means you need two different phones, and two different sims
Nokia are doing it as well

As mentioned before a Nano sim will fit in any phone with an adaptor, it's the big ones that are a problem.

You have to cut them to make them fit modern phones. With a Nano sim you can use an adaptor.

Really.

Big things won't fit in small holes, small things can fit in big holes with an adaptor.

Easier for you to understand.

Then you need to wake up, why waste space on something that can be smaller when you could use that to extend battery life.

Are you serious? You do know that the full size sim card was a credit card? Maybe you still have a phone that uses those cards or are you brainwashed too?

Man you must be really tiny if you think a sim card is the same size as a credit card!! No wonder the chip on your shoulder is so big and your brain was so easy to wash

Do some research before trying to be clever.

I already am clever I don't need to do any research. But congratulations you found a schematic for a credit card that compares sizes to other ISO standard cards, well done. But you seem to be missing the key point here.

ID-1 54x85.6mm ISO 7810 CREDIT CARD.
ID-000 15x25mm GSM SIM CARD.

Erm... He's only pointing out how sim cards have got smaller over the years or am I missing something?
I remember putting in a sim card the size of a credit card. Hell! I remember the days when I had an analogue mobile phone! They didn't have sim cards and you could pick up calls beingnmade on a phone by a scanner back then! lol

I used to have a Motorola that took the credit card size sim, it also had a battery that if it went flat you could replace with six AA's
