R.I.P. so sad to hear of his passing, a legend
Yeah i think he made it there, if not the Russians would have made an attempt of their own to get there and we'd have all known about it then!

He was the first human, USSR had zero manned missions.
What talk? There is no uncertainty about this.

I was quite shocked when I saw this. A humble and quiet man, who wanted nothing more than to explore and push the limits of what positive things humans could achieve. I hope that is his legacy, and to inspire us all to great things

Part of me does wonder how you come back to this planet and continue normally after you have been one of the few human beings to be physically present on another planet.
If the USSR had been first on the moon there would have been massive publicity of the fact, there is no way they would have kept it quiet, they would have rammed it down the throats of the US.
< waits for the moon landing conspiracy types to show up now as well >

Neil Armstrong was a very special man - A man that represented mankind and was inspirational to the whole planet.
A humble man that had immeasurable courage.
We won't see the like of him again.
RIP

Everyone knows Neil wasn't the first man o the moon. It was buzz. RIP to a TRUE icon and good to see it wasn't drugs.

Neil wasn't the first man on the moon and he was the first to admit it.
a TRUE loss and RIP. Good to see someone die natrully rather then drink or drugs

Only two of them stepped onto the surface, Armstrong and Aldrin, Armstrong being the first human ever. This is all on tape, why would he say he wasn't?
Also, he died of medical complications, hardly natural causes, medically speaking, that would be like saying dieing in a car accident is death by natural causes.
