May be someone can help me with this.

I got a letter a few weeks ago from Haymarket publishing advising that I owed them £80 for an advert in Autocar back in Aug'00. Thay claim that they forgot to debit my card and now want payment.

I ignored them as I do not have my old credit card statements.
They have now sent a 7 days notice before legal action is taken.

I do remember some dispute over the advert as I think it left out my telephone number, and then the Ad went out after I sold the car. What should I do considering it is now almost two years since the event and I get married in 2 weeks time, and therefore have a rather large debt problem.

Any advice appreciated,

Alan

I'd try the Citizen's Advice Bureau first, as occasionally they can help.
