Board intelligence level setting - BBS modification idea
My dealings with yet another dolt on here has got me thinking.
You know what this forum needs?
An enforced IQ test for every poster that is then stored on their user record.
You could then choose the intelligence level you wish to view the board at...
e.g. 'I only wish to see posts from people with an IQ greater than 110'
Everyone else is automatically set to ignore!
Great idea yes?

My spider-sense tells me f1_fan is secretly hoping this would mean the Mods couldn't see
his posts any more.

I'm fed up of using my own algorithm to filter the uneducated. It's another sign of the demise of this style of Bulletin Board, no progression leaving unpaid mods to do manual labour whilst the competition have automated and crowd sourced the idiot filter.

As the IQ meter might not be the best idea why not have a cun*ometer?
As with infractions, you get + or - towards your total score. SNetters can then judge the person you are by your cun* score.

So you can't be intelligent and relatively uninterested in the proceedings at CERN?

NO, but most intelligent people would be interested in it, maybe your iq is too low.
Never mind ,there might be a colouring competition for you soon.

Rating systems are no good, because there are 'us' and 'them' groups on here now like never before. So 'us' will merely rate 'them' down out of spite and vice versa. Bit of a waste of time?

Hola Andy. Iirc you were the only person to have a post rated as outstanding. The thread where you helped someone with a head injury.
