I am off to Wimbledon centre court tomorrow never been so if anyone has any pointers...are there plenty of places to park around that area or should I take the train? ( i am only 90 minutes away max)
Can you take drinks/food or have they got lots of food there, anywhere nearby for lunch or dinner?

Plenty of parking - Official car parks are approx £25, Local residents also rent out driveway spaces for approx £15.
You can take a bottle of wine per person / 4 cans pp with no bother. We take two bottles of champers and sandwiches etc.
Loads of food courts and bars inside and not expensive in my opinion.
Ohh I do say, I hope you have a jolly splendid time with your champers and strawberries! Not to mention the fantastic superb tennis you shall be watching on centre court, brushing shoulders with all the other posh toffs!

I concur Les. Sherrat does sound somewhat of a spotty oik don't you know! Thank the Lord they won't sully ones view of the game in their da-glow polyester shell suit, one can only imagine the odour of cheap cider and chips.

sounds like a 20 year old living at home with parents with a chip on his shoulder,
A friend just emailed me and told me beer is £4.60 and £7.50 for Pimms but everything else is not too expensive, camera going on charge and empty memory card at the ready

Unless things have changed since last year - The only lager available on draft was Grolsch - Yak!
What a great day, decided to go on the train so I could have a couple of Pimms while I was there, myself and the wife managed to get in to the ground with out any tickets which caused a bit of an uproar with security when I had to go back outside again to get my tickets. I was surprised that security was so lax for such a massive event.
I only had a compact camera, may take my nikon next time:

I have been catching some of the Wimbledon on TV. It was a sheer joy to watch some matches including our dearest Andy Murray's matches. I also watched that extra tall guy (I forgot his name now) who upset-beat that Raphael geezer. His service was a killer! Just WOW @ 99mph!
Glad for the ones who have been/are going there to watch it. Enjoy it.
